Weed Control

The best time to terminate weeds is when they are in their thread stage of growth. Much smaller than the planted crop, but if not addressed in this stage, weeds can quickly grow out of control.

Blind cultivation has become the first line of offense on all crops. Using tines with different stiffnesses, it scrapes the top of the soil, tearing out weeds without disturbing the planted rows every 30 inches.

In-row cultivation is the next tool in the arsenal. These cultivators stir up the soil between the plants in each row. Using finger weeders right in the row with the crop allows for a more precise cultivation.

Flaming is another tool that is used in collaboration with our in-row cultivation units. Burning all established weeds to a blackened crisp allows our in-row units to be more effective at every pass.

The last tool in the arsenal is a Zapper. Literally pumping electrical current through tall weeds. Allowing the termination of weeds, without distracting the soil. Primary used in soybean fields.
